We have an amazing bunch of grooms that help the yard run smoothly. Welcoming, friendly, reliable and trustworthy – Absolute gold dust to our yard. Our grooms are our daily keepers of the welfare of all our horses ensuring they are fed, groomed and turned out correctly.
Hannah and Daisy
Hannah is a real Larkspur success story! Joining us when we first opened in 2016 as a young rider she has grown into a confident, valued member of our team. Hannah’s passion for equestrian life is evident in all aspects – she has become an accomplished horsewoman at competing, dressage and jumping. Her knowledge around the yard, horses & ponies is obvious to all and her natural affinity with the animals is a delight to watch. Most days Hannah can be seen whizzing around leading multiple ponies or wheeling a wheelbarrow after mucking out – Hannah’s mucking out skills rival no other and our horses benefit from her attention to detail and beautifully made beds on a daily basis. Hannah is entering her second year at Merrist Wood College where she is studying, Level 3 Equine Management.
‘I love Larkspur because of its friendly welcoming atmosphere. The horses are amazing and have such great personalities. I really enjoy ‘Own a Pony’ day, this gives me the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to the enthusiastic youngsters that attend. I have been given so many learning opportunities that are directly transferable to my on-going learning and education at Merrist Wood’.
Hattie with her favourite pony Danny!
It’s a great possibility that Hattie could ride prior to walking! Growing up in an equestrian family Hattie has an inherent knowledge which we now have the benefit of. Having always had horses, she loves a challenge and to nurture those that require a ‘little bit more’. Hattie loves to compete and attend show jumping events. Joining Larkspur 9 months ago she has become a ‘go to’ member of the team for both clients and colleagues. Pony Parties are Hattie’s forte – she is great with the youngsters, ensuring that all have a safe, fun filled day to remember. Hattie attends Merrist Wood College, where she is studying, Level 3 Equine Management.
‘Larkspur is great, such a friendly welcoming yard to all. I love the variety of horses, they are all so different and perfect in their own individual way. When I first came to Larkspur I was made to feel really welcome and part of the ‘Larkspur Family’ by both staff and clients – This makes me love being there!
Super reliable and always has a smile on her face! Jayne has a wonderful caring and calming nature. A big asset to our team.
